The vp is actually also connected to the mc's curse (I think he's a descendant of the first mermaids lover tho I'm not sure). From what I can tell, I think he's been a bit of an ass the last few updates in the raw in regards to this, but we'll see. The story hasn't ended yet, so nothing is confirmed, but all 3 parties are tied together
