I think YD stepped in just in time and Dojin may have fainted. He seems to be taking him away and the animal spirits may not be able to stop him this time around but just know that two of the animal spirits are unaccounted for.
On the second viewing, neither the usurper wannabe, nor the Lotus broad were killed. I thought the Dragon's poison harmed them but sadly, no. The same poison grabbed a hold of Dojin and brought him into his arms (le sigh).
But they were terrified because YD knows who is behind the assassination attempts now (I guess), and he may not be put into sleep (I guess).
Both YD and Dojin are injured though.
Oh thank God! Atleast YD and Dojin didn't die. I was more terrified for YD seeing how the other spirits have already gone away I thought he'd be the next one. Dammit I started reading this manhwa just to pass time who knew THIS WOULD BE SUCH AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY! Damn I'm spent #－.－) when will they be able to be at peace AAAA
Let's just hope that the animal spirits don't stop him because that could be dangerous for YD this time around and since that pearl that YD is missing is being held by old man Dojin, I am hopeful for a better ending as well.
Take this with a grain of salt since it just my opinion, but I don't think the story will end tragically because things like the pearl have been built into it.

From the latest raw, it appears that Yellow Dragon manages to take out the guy wanting to steal the throne and not sure, but the witch too, who actually shot Ox and through him, my sweet, beautiful Emperor
