I agree, I think we all wished he actually communicated his thoughts, though idk the sudden hate we already knew he was a shtty dad before
I don't think it's sudden but it's been brewing for a while now. For me, it was ever since Joel x Chase tried to happen and the story deviated from the main couple. At least now we can go back to Jesse and Andy's story. We can expect more cute moments from them. It can be about how Andy never intended to be a part of Jesse's life but now he is Jesse's emotional support. Andy means everything to Jesse. Joel can leave home for a month and npbody would mind if he fades into the background. Perfect time for Jesse and Andy. I am even hoping for some smexy scenes while Joel is "away"..
I know the dad hate itself is not sudden, but the oh he should die cause he can't believe his son is gay, or smt, like he's already a shtt dad not like his attitude would change, especially when prejudice for being gay and what not
Joel is not the MC of this manhwa. He is, was and will always be a side character. His paring with Chase served as comic relief. It generated reactions form the readers - good and bad. It made the readers to keep on talking about the manhwa.
The story started with Andy and Jesse, and will continue to move forward even without the side characters. Joel can go away for a month out on an investigation or he can die, I don't think it matters anymore. Most people has given up on Joel's character. I am not sure if the author will give him some sort of redemption but I honestly don't care.
yup i don't like multiple pairings in one story due to it causing it to rush things, I am happy that it is returning to the mcs finally

Joel never told his son being gay was wrong, or critisized him for it! All he thought was what did I do for him to be that way, that's a normal thought a parent would have especially since he thinks he is a bad one. It would of been worse if he flat out said u fag or something but he didn't cause he loves his son
So some of yah saying how he hates his son cause he's gay shut up that was never said yah just want to act like everyone in there family will just hate them at this point it's stupid, this is also what's wrong irl instead of informing them about the lgbtq some of yah are asses.
