That person is anonymous so they might not read your reply, and it remains mystery whether they mean it as 'idol-fan' or 'gender-based' lol
But for me, even without a clue, i just automatically saw 'reverse stalker' as 'idol who stalk their fan' since it's unusual so it's reverse, not to mention it's the main theme of this manga, so i don't think about gender at all to understand that person's comment
I'm sorry that i have long explanation about this ...
Even genre 'reverse harem' is existed because it's unusual for a female to have a harem, the term 'harem' itself actually refers to polygamy marriage or male rulers (kings or emperors or sultans) from various country (usually in asia like china, korea, arab, or india) in the past who have harem (multiple wifes/concubines), there was woman ruler in china who had harem too, but only one woman (and if you want to include woman rulers who have harem in the whole world, only two woman from china and russia, cmiiw), so female having harem is considered unusual, polyandry marriage is also not as common as polygamy,
So even the term 'reverse harem' looks like it's based on gender, it's actually based on it's unusuality/irregularity, because it's unusual for a female to have harem
That's why i understand 'reverse stalker' as the role of stalking in idol and fan is reverse, because it's unusual for an idol to stalk their fan
Unlike harem, the 'reverse' in stalking is not based on gender, because both man and woman can stalk, and we have found many stalking cases where man and woman are both culprits
Very crazy, reverse stalker
