Try to imagine being Felix and not Adele. Disregard their genders completely. You are dealing with extremely stressful things and haven't even had time to think about yourself let alone sort out your feelings for somebody you've known for a little bit. The matter can shake up and destabilise a whole country, your friend being dethroned? Heck, both of you could end up dead. It has been always hard to believe in people because everybody jas been a backstabbing btch. Cracking a smile is hard, not to mention social interaction. And when you feel like you can finally open up and count on someone, they disappear*. And why did they disappear? To make you realise how you can't live without them, that you are dependant on them with your whole being...that coming right after you just finally got away from an extremely toxic person.
*and when the country needed him the most, he vanished. (Lol)
tldr; I want to see a power couple and not one where one schemes against the other...
Oh boy. I was ranting about her actions during the past few weeks and she is only getting worse. I'm sorry, but how dare you demand the other one to love you unconditionally after what felt like a month at most and demand them to be supportive and go with your every whim when you can't even fulfill "not stirring up trouble when they are dealing with a goddamn awful situation" condition. I did not dislike any of the comments praising her to be a strong female lead since personal opinions are a thing but for goodness sake! If being a strong woman means being so damn selfish towards those you're supposed to love and those who you know/think love you then I'd rather be considered weak. Being strong and knowing what you want considering her circumstances (relatively peaceful world, male lead is a decent human being, his only "negative" is that he is a very private person) means backing off when they don't like you and continue living your best life - which she kinda does - and not freaking scheming and manipulating your loved ones. She is not badass. She is selfish. They are dealing with things that might destabilize the country, omfg. Surely a proposal you havent even been waiting for for that long can wait until things calm down, especially when they are so near the end. Having one mentally strong person doesn't mean that the other one has to be weak.
Imagine for just a moment if she was a guy. If the roles were reversed - would you call Adele a strong male lead or an oppresive douche? Would a guy Adele be considered decisive or selfish? Would a girl Felix be called weak-willed or cautious? Would a girl Felix be told to hurry up and succumb or to run away and find happiness with somebody who would respect her boundaries?
This is why her actions creep me out so much. Because she is acting nearly like the shoujo "bad boys" whom I fricking despise. Why would you want Felix to act like those weak clumsy heroines everybody dislikes so much?(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
