Yeah Ikr. I love those 1st year guys but not as much as senpais and captain Miyuki, those who have been with us for more than 400 chapters. Okumura is supposed to be the next generation of Seidou, I can already imagine him become the main catcher when Miyuki is gone. Terajima did put Okumura in the picture for a reason. But still, Miyuki is just. Such an important character. Hell. He has been shouldering the team this whole time, trying to help his teammates as much as he can(especially Furuya and Sawamura), the scene when Kuramochi told him "You dont want people to see you making an effort that much" makes me cry :((( I think captain has many things to worry about as well, he is just a baseball addict like everyone else after all but he doesnt want to show it. Yet some people easily forget all that.
Sorry maybe off topic but I just feel depressed thinking about Miyuki leaving the team, and about not getting to see him and Sawamura in a battery anymore. Okumura cant replace him, that's for sure.
I actually feel a loss, anticipating Miyuki being left out of this manga. I wish... surely there's some way to keep him written into the story. I actually shed some tears over it in that scene where he's alone at night with the slight breeze in his hair, and he's realizing that it's really true that he only has 3 more months to play baseball with Sawamura and Furuya. The sad music got to me,too. （￣へ￣）waaaaa
Aghhh don't mention that Miyuki has only 3 months to play. I wanna cry. The most affected of them all is Sawamura 'coz he really wants to be with Miyuki, to play with him more. He won't admit it but he really respect Miyuki as a catcher and of course, a person who really loves baseball. T.T

i don't think it's wrong for people to like Okumura, he is the next gen after all and also has his own personality that contrasts Miyuki. I get what your saying, heck, even i fucking love Miyuki, but again i wouldn't call liking Okumura "sheep behavior".
How easily so many people blew off Miyuki and joined in with supporting Okumura feels to me like sheep behavior, like you'll buy into anything as long as it's packaged with a bow on top, and just dump the more superior character who has been developing since the start because that's what you're told to do. Okumura is being sold to you. Why are you buying into him so easily?
