I doubt it but even if it is like that (or some other “tricking the audience into thinking he’s a bad guy” type of thing) I don’t care because there is no excuse. He didn’t plan anything with River and River loved his family and didn’t want to be a god or a spirit, he just wanted to end Khaol’s anger for his family line and so his ex bf could move on and you know, just be together with the guy he loved... BUT FUCKING KHAOL HAD TO BE A SELFISH PRICK THAT DIDN'T DESERVE HIM AND JUST FUCKING S.A.T. THERE AS HIS BFF KILLED HIS LOVER *insert graphic images of Khaol’s murder here*
You right. I just have a doubt over like this plot twist, author always put trick like that. Khaol kinda doesn't deserve River. Even he have reason and being guilty or remorse...
