SAME OH MY GOD i was literally feeling so excited at the start ??? and i was like ‘damn it’ll be so cute and like they would be so sweet as a couple omg i can’t wait’ to me being like ‘oh fuck why am i SO SAD’
uuughh i get you two and i think this is exactly what the author wants the reader to feel since we are going through the darkest part of the story anyway ls no need to worry, the ones who already read the novel assured us that we’re gonna have a happy ending, so we just need to wait and then we’ll be able to come back to our ed and mcqueen being the lovebirds they are
a big part of why this feels so heavy now and so fast is also cos the manhwa is much more truncated than the original novel. the novel was split into 4 parts, and like a good 1 section of that was just ed and mcqueen building their relationship and having their sweet moments. it's a lot less relevant plotwise, but taking it out also changes the pace of the manhwa as it headdives into the heavy stuff pretty soon
the feeling i have after reading this webtoon is so damn heavy i can’t help but to feel something in my heart ???? uGh it’s so suffocating and sad
