I think the author is trying to portray him as the perfect guy that loves her more than he loves himself. he sees that she has feelings for the guy shes with (stockholm syndrome lol) so he wants to respect her feelings.
personally i wish she would leave the murderer and go back to the ex. he may have married another woman, but he has been kinder to her overall.

Misunderstanding, and then a kidnapping. Misunderstanding resolved and then a rescue.
I don't get how the main guy can act like a victim. He's a murderer and a rapist. But then throws a hissy fit when he thought the main girl didn't want the baby created from rape. She's suicidal from the loss of the baby.
I feel bad for this girl, her life was destroyed because of him and she's struggling from Stockholm syndrome. She desperately needs therapy and to learn some self love.
Im so curious how this will end. Lol
