Actually that happens A LOT in real life.
I'm a girl who openly show my support to LGBT comunity in a country where people will literally able to punish you just because you are gay. Some of my friends will secretly talk to me about this, how they dream they have sex or cuddling with other guy. But when they talk to other people they will seems homophobic. It's pretty normal(the dream not the rape)
Are we gonna pretend the author didn't throw a "I dreamt about raping my best friend" bomb just to cover it up later with internalized homophobia instead of giving us a strong plot with crazy twists im-
