He’s legit traumatized, I mean yeah it wasn’t nice of him to say since he doesn’t realize what it means to her. But you also can’t just get mad at him simply because he’s scared of “women”
She/He's not mad at him for being scared of women, they're mad because of how insensitive his words were. Whether he had bad intentions or not it was still harsh. At least I think it would be for her seeing as she is a noble woman. He crushed her by saying something she's been insecure about. I'm not mad at him just felt sorry for them both her mostly. She's more emotionally developed than him so she's definitely gonna have some scars thanks to him.
thank you! That’s absolutely right!! He was too harsh!!! During the time period this takes place women basically had no worth, except for the fact that they’re women. So being told that they’re not thought of as a women would absolutely crush someone back then because back then being a woman was the only thing they practically had going for them. It’s the same time period where women were basically sold off in arranged marriages, times were different
