It really is bizarre the rationale of plots like this to spin situations like this as “romantic”.

that would mean you dont love "them", but your ideal of them, and so you cut away pieces of their true self so they fit your standard frame.

I guess theres more leeway in an omegaverse, since instincts and pheromones play a large part in them, but still. Forcing an alpha to be an omega...dont you dare use love as an excuse.

Just say youre a manipulative asshole thats afraid by not trusting in your own abilities to make someone you love stay and so you need to resort to drugs like the coward you are.
