I actually don’t hate Ayaka

Unlike most “evil” women, I actually like Ayaka. Rather than be sneaky and backstab people like most villainess, she was straight forward with her feelings. Not saying she’s in the right. Their relationship was definitely toxic. But rather than sneak around she expressed her hurt. I just wish they’d have calmed down and talked to each other more honestly. But hey, breakups are hard and messy.

Rather than her hating the MC she’s just coming from a place of hurt. And that I understand.

I'd feel better about her if she didn't try to hit the FL. Like venting I get, its a complicated situation. But she can't just go around slapping people.

A "villain" doesn't have to hurt anyone physically to be a villain. There is enough emotional and mental hurt to go around. These are supposed to be grown men and women, professional men and women. It makes her look childish.

I was responding to someone who said that they like Ayaka. I am saying that I can't like her because she got physical without an understandable reason. It just highlights how abusive she is, and reinforces why the ML doesn't respond to her. The attempted slap is well beyond being open with your feelings and options. It is just an attempt to control someone who is doing something you don't like. It is not like the FL said anything nasty to Ayaka in order to cause her to lash out physically. If the FL did say something nasty I'd get it. If the FL did say something confrontational I'd get it. But that isn't what happend.

Just to make note I made this comment before those chapters came out.
