Because the bf was abusive af during the whole thing.
the bottom was incredibly forgiving and reliant on him changing. He can do better.
Their relationship seems toxic. Both have bad tempers, especially Taichi, and are bad at expressing their feelings. Seeing as to how toxic their relationship has been in the past, it feels like the same thing will happen again. They're great as friends, but as lovers, they're really not compatible at all.
They are still learning how to work things out in a good way. At first they're lack of proper communication that's why things between them always end up bad. But as the story progress, we can see the character development.
I will forever be mad about the fact that they didn't broke up.
