I mean that’s what annoys me a lot in this genre. It’s perfectly fine to write a story where the couple introduced don’t fall in love. But for some reason there always needs to be a happily ever after doesn’t matter the circumstances be it rape, violence, blackmail, murder, abuse etc.you don’t feel any “love” between these two characters, just more or less settling. they’re not “in love”, but there is unresolved emotions. Honestly if the author had made their relationship more ambiguous that would have fit more properly with the plot itself at this point. Authors should listen to what the characters are saying to them not just creating the story to be to the expectations of its readers. That’s the mark of a really good writer, making your readers feel the realness of your world building and characters.

Right, if they made it more ambiguous it would make more sense however them getting together is not completely out of the realm of possibility, people do make decisions other people don't understand for their own reasons, it looks like each Jinsol and Saegye do have their own reason to get together but its just irritating to me that despite everything that happened between them they still choose to do that, like Saegye man, you are always getting the short end of the stick, they both are getting something out of the relationship, basically they are both benefiting from this for their own selfish reason, ultimately I don't think it is going to end up as a healthy relationship but I could be wrong

But the guy can only lie. So he can’t say “I love you” even if he wants to.
You can argue that he could have said something like “I don’t love you” and Saegye will get it, but that’s kinda anticlimactic (lol).
Jokes aside, I do agree with you that Jinsol’s ambiguous proposal must be a result of the guilts he feels towards Saegye and the deep, deep denial that he had forced himself to believe while his feelings for Saegye were growing (because he needed to be able to lie that he loved Saegye). The situation they are in at the moment probably doesn’t allow space for a passionate confession. There’s no switch to flick over immediately. There’s still awkwardness between those two. I just hope they will find peace with time.
Ugh, Saegye, why are you so whipped omg, welp I truthfully don't like it since Jinsol still hasn't even said he even likes Saegye, he hasn't confirmed shit and says "wait for me to love you,~~," "if I end up loving you I can try having an ordinary relationship~~~~," "I'll stay with you for ambiguous reasons maybe related to my guilt for betraying you or maybe idk I'm in love with you and I always have but I am in deep denial about it who knows but maybe probably not because I haven't said shit~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~," this just means he is living for Saegye, he doesn't really love him but he doesn't really have anything to do so he's like why not stay together with that one dude who I deeply betrayed and may like but I am in complete denial about for some godforsaken reason, also I feel greatly indebted to you for that betrayal I was talking about hahahahahahaha. I don't think he is in denial though, I feel like they are just using each other, Saegye is using him to keep that feeling that made him feel alive inside him and Jinsol is using him for the reason that Saegye kind of represents hope because the dude isn't saying shit about love and he is taking an opportunity to stay with a person who loves him despite all the shit he has pulled meaning he kind of feels secure because it feels like anymore shit he pulls Saegye will stay with him unconditionally because Saegye loves the feeling of being in love. ugh why am I such a salty human, I guess if this is what Saegye chose then so be it, idk anymore, this comment of mine doesn't mean that I don't love the story though, the story is a masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!
