yeah his alter ego appeared because of something that happened when he was a child that involves his mother and the father, for me Ray (alter ego) appeared as some sort of protection for Sooha, he can be
portrayed as a violent person but i dont think he is bad, it just that he needs to do those things in order to protect himself
The exact same thing happened to the anime I mentioned. The alter ego was their defense against any harm.
Maybe he's alter ego exist because of the traumas he experienced in his family. I remember the BL anime "i like what i like,wo there"
they were normal boys but were kidnapped and became test subjects. because of that they developed their second personality to protect themselves in that prison.
