Like I cannot help but equate this to tipping in America: if you can’t afford to tip your waiter/tress, then you Shouldn’t be eating out. If you can’t afford to read this manga through the legal means, then you Shouldn’t be reading this manga or bitching about the authors attitude.

The tipping analogy is not that off. All the authors who work directly for/with Lzhin get a guaranteed income and those who do well get more. The main difference here is that not tipping doesn't mean you stole the food (the tipping system in the US still sucks though) and authors could lose their job (as in not getting new contracts) if people don't buy their work.
However, not every publisher offers a guaranteed income.
LezhinComics has the fail safe that you, the user, must accept that you are part of a mature audience, so they cannot be sued for distributing porn to minors, but this website has no such fail safe, and some authors are looking to protect more than just their income but their legal safety.
You cannot tell me 100% of the viewers of this manga are of age in their own countries to be viewing porn/smut. In some countries it is on the AUTHOR to put a stop to illegal distribution of their works to minors or stop creating entirely.
Stop bitching about your need for free content, it’s wrong on so many levels and may get an innocent cartoon artist in serious trouble. Ask for an allowance from you parents if you’re not independent yet. But if you can’t afford to support this manga through THE AVAILABLE Legal means, then maybe you just can’t afford to read this manga??? Manga with no legal access is one thing (noting that it’s still harmful to the localization) But blatantly ignoring an authors plea to stop is another.
