I guess he really was lonely? He doesn't seem to be the type to have a super depressing back story or to have deeper reasons than being the king to keep a distance from people. So it makes sense to me that he caved in so quickly.
No complaints from me. I'm just enjoying the story.
Okay, I've read tons of these stories and I have to say this one so far is the best. She's not trembling in fear or acting like a grown up, but she has a plan to make every one her slave, and she's working towards that. She's not trying to run the country or empire or thinking about palace intrigue, she's made a simple goal, be cute and make her father and brothers her slave. And it's funny how she thinks about all the attention and being a baby. Though I have to say her daddy fell really fast. But otherwise this is just plain fun to read.
