You've been downvoted to hell but I don't think you're wrong. most manga here that is not all smut or is fluffy gets a 9+ score bc of low standards basically. I don't know about the middle school script, but the romance is really forced and awkward, not at all smooth

This is pretty bad all around. Art at best mediocre. Arrangement and script reminiscent of someone in middle/high school. Trying to understand to 9.4 rating.
