i disagree with you. i think he truly loves Nishimura to the point where he didn't want to hurt him or lose their "friendship" to the point that he 'tried" to distance himself. Kitada, on the other hand, was a very CONVENIENT sex friend. a sex friend of 10 FUCKEN YEARS. a sex friend that he would always run to when Nishimura hurt him. A sex friend he never stopped to question or ask why he was single for those 10 years. in real life, he would have gotten over his feelings for Nishimura & tried to have a relationship with Kitada, but that didn't happen cuz he didn't love him. He relied on him & he played a very important part of his life as a family member does, but he didn't love him. Which was very selfish in my perspective. Nishimura, on the other hand, loved him, cried b/c of him, thought of him for 10 whole years. Kitada was a mediator for the main couple, the couple would eventually be able to communicate & have sex without him, which at that point Kitada wouldn't be needed
I doubt this relation would last in real life. He's obviously more attached to the sex friend. He can't choose right now because his 10 yr crush finally loves him back but sooner or later the best friend's going to realize how extra he is lmaoooo especially if the black hair guy seriously pursues the uke instead of using a sex friend excuse
