I do believe Shin has issues, but it has a lot more to do with his upbringing than Wolfgang’s appearance. Also Shin was smart and escaped being bedded by the previous king.
Thank god he wasn't actually bedded...It's been a while since I last read the first season, so my memory is a little hazy

SURE. Shin was abused as a child but He and wolfgang know each other for too long to Shin have this kind of trauma with him

I think he don't even know that he's in love with Wolfgang, I don't think he understands that all that Wolfgang do is because he's in love with him either

He was not raped as a child though...sure he was sexually harassed & abused but never raped, te entire reason why he faked his illness and why wolfgang gave him a kiss mark was to make the king change his mind when it comes to sleeping with him and as a punishment for not being 'loyal' he was forced to be naked in the cold weather because he didn't save himself for the king.

It baffles me that some people are disappointed with the fact that Shin isn't displaying any direct romantic gestures towards Wolfgang. Like...Shin was basically r*ped as a child by the previous king and now you're expecting him to be openly cosy and romantic with his son, who btw looks a lot like the previous king? Yeah, I ship them as a couple but I think we should be more understanding about their circumstances.
