Since when do vets have these unreasonable hours? My vet closes early and is closed on Sundays. Unless he works for a 24/7 emergency place this seems far fetched.

Don't know where you're from, but when I was studying in Korea, places like vets and other non-primary care locations would run at odd hours cuz that's when people would be able to see them because of a busy work schedule.

I'm from the US. A quick Google search showed me that most vets in Tokyo open between 9 and 10 am and close between 6 and 7 pm. Except for the 24hr places. So agian unless he works for a 24/7 place his hours seem unrealistic. If he was a doctor I'd find it more realistic.

But even on closed days, they've to take care of the animals. And a lot of vets (here in Germany) are doing surgerys after closing.
I don't think is unrealistic. But that's just my point of view :)

Yo bro. That’s for customers. There is MORE work after closing time ( T﹏T ). All health allied jobs can be stressful because it’s a life and the quality of life you’re handling

I get all those points. I just don't buy it I have friends that are nurses and doctors and they're not as busy as this guy. Well except during their residency or of course during a pandemic. Maybe it's Japan's crazy work culture that I'm missing.

Hierarchy makes jobs difficult to do here asia man. But then again, my aunt’s clinic in new zealand is pretty crazy too ( ̄∇ ̄"). Maybe it’s more of the people you work with?
