I don't think it is stockholm syndrome, he wasn't kidnaped and he wasn't in terror or fear from Alex. Cole was the one who asked him to choke him once so....I don't think it fit them at all. if Cole wanted it from the start, and he does then it's fine. I don't think Cole minds, he does not love himself at all. but I do think Alex does love him. he just a little crazy, not less than him XD

well in my way of seeing it it's like, cole got alex into this mess of a relationship. and alex since he's involved, it somehow makes him feel bad if someone died because of him or smtg like that???

and so he tries to salvage and make things right and in the end because everything went to a "happy ending" kinda scenario, he might be mistaking it for love? smtg like that? idk if it make sense and since cole and alex are still tgt i got the feeling that he might be sticking with cole just so that cole won't pull tht stunt again y'know

he mentioned it in the updated chapter as well something along the lines of as long as it's not the gun everything is ok. This gives the feeling that alex is still kinda traumatized by the gun incident. Hence the stockholm syndrome effect. Well that's just my opinion. the author prolly ain't tryna make it so complicated

it started with just sex if I"m not wrong, Cole thought they just doing sex with no feelings but I always had the feeling it's not the same for Alex. remember that Cole don't get other people feelings, when someone is into him he would think they hate him since he has such low self-esteem. Cole is mass up for sure, but I doubt Alex would stay with someone just so he won't kill himself. Alex is not such a "nice" person if he can scare him with a gun without giving a shit. if he was such a nice guy, he would never threaten him with the gun.

The reasom cole threatened him was because of how insecure he is and was thinking that alex cheated when HE DIDN'T. And alex is CLEARLY in love with Cole, that's why he's staying with him even after the gun incident. Smh my head
