Uhm this would be a spoiler but the cover..., Claudia already has whiter skin bc the light spirit king blessed her after some things went down with Amelia. And this novel is not in Japan, but I get ur point. And yes this novel is racist --- this is what fans the flames lol
having the mc's skin be darker just because she was blessed by an "evil" spirit really doesn't sit well with me.
Like having everyone be pale except for her and the spirit because they're supposed to be evil?? but everyone else is pale af? plus she just looks tan in the colored illustration (the cover??)
Just seems pretty ignorant to me... Makes sense though since Japan is a homogeneous country
