Ch. 39

The mind games Seungho plays makes him almost more interesting than Inhun at this point. He basically talked Nakyum into a quickie cause his insecure ass didn't like him even being touched by the damn tailor lol he's such a fuck nigga omg.

Nakyum is going to be mentally screwed after Seungho is done with him. He went from slut shaming him to saying "Oh so it is my fault cause it's my jacket?" like idk rather to laugh or strangle him. He keeps twisting Na's words like the manipulative little snake he is. This makes the wife thing he did (the red dot on the forehead) much more ominous to me. He's dressing Nakyum up like a doll now and being very open about "owning" him. He's almost flaunting him and daring anyone to take the bait.

The mental manipulation is working too I think, Nakyum is honestly the perfect target for abusive predators with how weak-minded he is in general. Seeing how Seungho is currently breaking him down I 100 percent understand how Inhun did the same. I'm seeing more and more evidence that Inhun and Seungho are a reflection of each other, I thought they were opposites but they're quite similar.

Inhun never pretended to be a perfect teacher, as we can see from Na's memories that mf has always been abusive and is just now deciding to starve Na of any affection. It's just that when Inhun did show kindness Na became attached on his /own/ in the past. Let's be forreal, Na probably has been starved for love his whole life and imprinted on Inhun w/o Inhun really choosing that, Inhun just took advantage of that attachment.

Seungho and Nakyum's dynamic is becoming very similar to Inhun and Na's current relationship: He punishes Nakyum for not complying with him but then turns around and gives him positive attention when he obeys. Inhun used to beat him when he didn't do what he wanted, but played the gentle teacher when he obeyed.

It's. The. Same.

They're both good at mentally cornering someone to bend to their will, they're both insecure assholes who are very controlling. It's ridiculous that I didn't see it before, Seungho and Inhun are mirrors of each other. The only difference is Seungho's obsessed with Nakyum and actually wants to possess him. This little shopping trip they're taking makes that evident even more.

It's crazy how the translations always reminds the reader that Seungho is more sinister than he first let's on. It's kinda funny seeing the really appealing sex scenes then reading the translation and seeing how those scenes get twisted into something fucked up.

When it waa still ongoing. I saw a comment with a beautiful analysis about society and personalities. The extrovert/charasmatic man and the introverted but diligent. How society favors one over the other despite you know someone is clearly psycho but can hide it well ubder his mask that charms others
    .
Honestly is was amazing and i did terrible job at explaining it. But Fukusuke I think was born a psychopath, since he was little. And he developed his mask so well over time and it was the one that people loved oh so much.

No I get what you're saying! I found that to be the most interesting thing about their dynamic. It was scary cause I even found myself charmed by Fukusuke sometimes and had to remind myself he was a horrible person. I feel like Seungho charms readers in the same way, I'm not naive enough to forgive him but even I find myself anticipating his actions on the next chapter, I even find him funny at times (begrudgingly).

I agree, Fukusuke was a textbook psychopath (which is a hard fucking personality type to write so kudos to Harada). Seungho is more of a sociopath I think, I still stand by that.

Bout to search for some Color Recipe analysis now thanks to you lol
