Yeah, I did. These events happened only recently in the English translation and the novel is still ongoing. In terms of the actual divorce and Navier's remarriage, the novel is really slow-paced and that's what tends to put most people off. No, he's just injured. That's probably why Sovieshu served Navier a different roast bird because by the time they went to look for the birds body McKenna was already gone.

This doesn't happen for ages, but Sovieshu finds out Navier is Heinley's letter friend after sending someone to search her room. Not only that but he burns the letters in front of her and orders for any birds that fly towards her window to be shot down.
Even bigger spoiler
McKenna (Heinley's aide) is the blue bird and he ends up flying to her window to deliver a message, not knowing the threat of being shot down. He ends up getting shot by an arrow, but Navier finds out about this later. (At this point she doesn't actually know it's McKenna) And then the prick Sovieshu sends Navier a meal and it's a roast bird, which he had decorated with blue feathers to make it seem like it was the bird that was shot down. I know. The epitome of an asshole.
