Athy’s mother does not tell Claude that, it was Claude saying that to her mother. He didn’t want her to die because it was obvious from what he said that it was a risk pregnancy. So there was a chance that she was going to die while having Athy and he wanted her to choose to live for him. Plus, looking at her in that scene, you can tell she’s not that far along so he probably wanted her to abort the baby.

Agree with you but I think you misread that part, It was Claude telling that to Diana since Athy's magic was eating her life, he was basically telling her to abort the baby and choose him instead.
I’m like 89% sure Claude is gonna suffer coz of Jeannette. She’s the cursed child and yeah when she’s together with Claude his headache goes away. She could be kinda like a drug, when u take a drug it feels good but in the end it’s bad for u. Jeannette is a slow acting drug I’m calling it rn. So yeah either Jeannette gotta die or she has to be decursed
