I'm pretty sure the MC 's mother is the daughter that ran away from House of Hogan . The Countess also mentioned that the MC looks like the girl who never used the same dress twice that she had to compete with for the countess title, but ran away with a painter. That would imply that the girl must be from an extremely rich family, however since she's aiming for the Countess title and not a higher one despite being that rich, she is probably from a lower aristocrat family or a merchant family. The MC needs to get herself to the House of Hogan and snatch that Granddaughter title pronto, cause it's pretty obvious the shady2x cousin is not succeeding that house.
