When you reply to comments there is no edit button. It only appears when you start a comment.
Ohh, that makes sense.
You can correct your own comment (if you started it) by clicking on your comment's headline (in this case "Good god") which opens the comment and you can chose to edit it or delete it there
This author loves switching between light and uplifting and dark and depressing like it's nothing, doesn't it. O.o
