oh they have different numbering of their releases, I think amazonjp uses the the number by releases there are 22volumes I saw covers in japan

season 2 anime 12ep/manga 18ch/book 2:
pt 2 vol 1 (4)

Thank you! I was torn whether to buy or not but the official english books aren't that ahead from the unofficial so I'll wait till it completed. I tried mtl-ing it but after knowing the ending there's not much point anymore in torturing myself.
this is just world building introductory chapters.. it seems the manga artist takes break and divide the whole novel in 5 parts... this is the first part there are still:
part 2 - apprentice shrine maiden arc (ongoing)
part 3 - adoption arc (ongoing)
part 4 - royal academy (tbh)
part 5 - goddess incarnation finale (tbh)
