i think tia is more powerful than that girl not because shes the future queen but because forest fairies are more superior than sea fairies and aqua even mentioned that fairy king is more superior than the royal family... given that tia is the only one who is blessed by forest fairies... shouldn't they must not upset tia more than that ashitra

Yes, and while I completely agree that his points make sense, he could very well have pulled his fiance aside to express that that's the reason he didn't pick her cake, at least knowing what she has been through in her previous engagement and what kind of insecurities it can cause in a person. It just seems so obvious to do in a relationship knowing that your partner may have developed these insecurities (and that he himself is going through because of the fairy king)? I don't doubt his love for Tia, he just seems thoughtless to not have realized this.

yeah that's what i wished he did to!, but apparently he seems to forget that a little to fast. i mean it's not that hard to talk to her later about it. ( ̄∇ ̄")
i also agree that tia is definitely more powerful and will get more powerful in the future trust me i read the novel and you guys are in for a treat ! ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ but currently she isn't powerful enough ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ for now ....... i love how the forest fairy king manages to always remind him that he can take tia away anytime and pissed the prince of a little it make him act more possessive (=・ω・=)

Wait a min, how old is Tia then? Is she much older, because a difference of a year or two actually doesn't make That Much of a difference, especially in historic times where much younger kids had to act as adults. I realize I've read the manga without knowing Tia and Aqua's age lol.
But also, the sea girl is not posed as a child. The sea girl is posed as a mature girl who visits his office and dicusses work with him, there's little to no reason (also given the historic context) for him to think of her as any less mature. Agree that as a couple, their communication is terrible (this is shoujo so what'd I expect lol), but
1.) he could've very well pulled aside Tia to separately praise her cake and tell her the truth too. That only seems natural to do as a couple, especially given Tia's experience with her previous fiance (that he's well aware of).
2.) I just realized this but Aqua is supposed to be a ruler of a country, and these kinds of tricky questions can come up anytime, and it should've been in his skill/upbringing to be able to answer it without offending either party and disguising the truth wisely in his answer (lol why am i getting into a detailed analysis of a shoujo manga im stupid dont mind me XD)

Yesss, true that. I may be bitching about Aqua now, but goddamn I'm living for the drama. XD
For now let's just enjoy the drama and angst because come on, what's a shoujo romance without some bad communication and misunderstandings! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
I always loved aqua throughout this series but in this chapter... sorry prince but ... I HATE YOU..WHY YOU DO THAT TO MY FLUFFY TIA... you should be thankful to fairy king for saving the day YOU RUINED PRINCE (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
