I don't think the author ever actually finished the novel. She's posted several times that she's not sure she will, but that the comic will definitely run until the story concludes.

I think she’s taking a different route from the novel since she’s working with another person, and I remember some people saying how things were kinda different already from the novel? I’m just hoping it takes a different route or love interest lmaoo
