i tried reading this story before i realized what direction the story was going in (i.e. rapist ""love interest"") so i stopped reading, but not before checking the comments...omg
disregarding all this random stuff about him being or not being "psycho" since it's not that important to me to differentiate it here ...with all due respect, idk why you're going to such lengths and trying to defend a character who is abusive and a rapist. he is not redeemable.
"he's not heartless and he reflects on his actions, example after raping Na Kyum" you can't say he is "not heartless" after stating the fact he literally raped someone. doing that once is all it takes for it to make him a terrible human being. believe it or not, raping someone does indeed make you heartless and a person who does not truly care how other people feel.
I think it's worth reading (at least for me since i'm a whore for this artstyle not the plot itself) also um raping someone doesn't really make you hearthless -as in lack of empathy- it does make you a "bad" person but it doesn't really mean that you can't take care of others close to you and empathize with other people. But i do agree in the fact that at this point Seungho isn't a redeemable and the fact that he's a terrible human being
Cant you let others enjoy in peace .......If you stopped reading with all the respect you cant judge the situation the right way, we all agree the rape was horrible, it is what it is ,what i dont like is that everyone wants to judge other readers who may like Seungho since they may have seen a change, we are talking about a vicious lord ,we arent talking about a saint .....and these posts make people go to great lengths to protect their view if you cant cope with the rape leave it and let others who can read and like the heartless characters ....i still respect your opinion
@vampirejuicebox
I don't judge people that easily, especially when they try to change. And heartless he would be if he did it with no reflection, just wanting to hurt him. I am surprised how judgemental all the people here are. Especially since it's a fictional story.
But if'd be labeling people easily like that in real life I'd be left alone with no human beings around me. I try to think about it deeper cuz a person is a complex equation of thousands of factors, it's not always that you intend to do things, you sometimes just do them because in the moment you have the impulse and then later starts judging.
And I just don't want people to call him a psycho, cuz in medcial terms he is not and that's what I was proving. I did write he is brutal and demands descipline, you can him call a bad person. Notice that some have more or less such fathers for example and maybe wouldn't exactly be happy to hear they're teribble people.
Be more careful in labeling everything, life is a bit more complicated. If you think there are things that could not be redeemed than your life must by really sad, even God lets people redeem themseves.
If this story is too morally unright for you, go read easy, morally correct stories.

Psychopath in a dictionary definition is a little different than our lord. You may call someone like Joker a classical psycho. But Seungho is simply a brutal man who demands obedience from his subjects. He wants to mostly follow his desires but he's not heartless and he reflects on his actions, example after raping Na Kyum. He then stopped harrasing him after the fever. And he doesn't enjoy hurting anyone.
The way he finds himself in society is even quite admirable, I mean he's honest about himself, he doesn't hide the things he does and he genuinely doesn't give a fuck what others think about him or his actions. I guess we all should act alike to some extent. A psycho has the ability to act and be sometimes so sweet you may even love him, which he only does to achive his goals.
But if someone would really like to call him a psycho than I'm asking - Do people call that a man who beats and rapes his wife reguarly, additionally, often hurting his kid(s), while being under effect of alcohol in many cases and having no reasons for that all? Isn't that a bigger degeneration? (Present even in our modern times!) Yet still it exists and no one sends those people to hospital with mental issues.
Everybody so eagerly calls this character a psycho but in real life no one really calls actual psychopaths by that name. I know and have heard about a few people who I'd fear much more than Seungho. He has his rules and if you obey them, you're likely safe. Unlike actual freaking scary, unpredictible pschyos in whose heads might appear the maddest of ideas and you don't know when and how. So reflect on our reality when using such words.
