I've only read till chapter 46, but the main reason she was chosen as Queen was because she's not capable of having children. In one chapter she pretty much said it's a 'fantasy' for her to birth to an heir for the king.

from what I read the ML guy is very very annoying =_= but the MC girl is awesome. just wish she would get someone else to love
