I suspected that this girl is Ichika's grandmother.
IIRC , the sword was sealed in the little shrine by the grandmother and was the one hide the key, that ichika used later to reopen to take the relic(knife)
Well, it takes a long time to update. But for each chapter, it is long enough to appreciate the art, humor & romance. The last chapter when Aria cried, damn. I realized it will not be all rainbows & sunshine for them. When you fell in love, but the mortality & uncertainty of fate really cut you deep within.
