cant really put the blame entirely on the frustrated and emotionally damaged ed, who hasnt had closure with mcqueen. but then again, chang also had intentions of sleeping with ed... so....... it's mostly it was just unfortunate chain of events that happened that resulted to further damage into both of them.
honestly in this situation if ur going to consider how emotionally damaged ed is i tink yall should also consider how emotionally damaged chang is as well. and its ed who instigated this. it doesn't make what chang did better but hes also the one who felt powerful and dominant when telling chang to bend over so it just bit him back in the ass
