He does seem shady especially since the last chapter. And yes, the maiden is too jealous so it hinders her a lot. I'm happy the mc is smartening up a bit. It seems she is getting into her role lol

I kinda wish that the heavenly maiden and the mc get along. I kinda want them to be friends, I know most of her anger comes from jealousy, but I'm hoping she could get past that. I also think the white-haired dude is kinda shady. I don't think he genuinely likes her, but wants to take her from the emperor. Maybe I'm missing something.
