It's obvious you all want that Chang had a magical realization and fall in love with Ed letting everything behind, but Walk on Water isn't that kind of story.
Walk of Water is trying to portray a more realistically gay story, not just a 'yaoi' (that literally means: no climax, no resolution, no sense).
Also, even the title should let you know this is a danger story about how easy is to get drown. You should appreciate this as it is, not as you wanted to be.
There's a ton of girly mangas with fluffy plot, just a few are like this one. Let us enjoy this. And if you don't like heavy dramatic stories then just let go of this one and be happy, 'cause it's obvious this one will get rough.
