I think it's more poetic that way if bum does follow sangwoo till the end. But it's sad because I felt like bum and sangwoo were robbed from happiness which made that scene 38249302483902x sadder. They left the world in the saddest way possible
I think that he was just plainly hallucinating due to shock or maybe it was all just planned out so that bum will fallow sangwoo till the end
