You should read at the start of the time skip. A lot of fans were sad and angry at the change too, at first, including myself, but right now I really like the pace. I feel like Furudate doesn't want to lower the standard of Haikyuu by prolonging it, instead he came back to where it started, to Hinata and Kageyama.
