So the reason why he left was because he was scared of holding river back from his potential? Huh?
U were going to be a ceo of a huge company and was already well known in the school. How did u think you'd hold him back? Did I misread why he left? Cause to me it sounded dumb. U ghosted ur friend for a year, conveniently the same time someone stole his code. And it turns out, the only person who could vouch for him was you! And when u see river again and finally have the guts to meet him, u ask him not to bring up the break? The one year break? Where River was basically bullied into thinking he was a monster just cause he knows how to hack?
(If his real reason on why he left was cause of work then that's rude - just say it was because of work. If it was because he was growing feelings for river, then that's being a coward.)
