uh im not too sure either, but i just think its illegally storing money. like you have to pay taxes on everything, so if you illegally pass money through a bunch of complicated ways, you have have "secret money" in the form of antiques or cars or investments
It's basically a way to make illegal money clean using businesses and banks. This allows you to spend the money without it being traced and what not. It's a way for crooks to hide the origins of ill begotten cash and make it all seem legit.
