So obviously you don't have to like Ken and I'm not gonna make you, but I would like to point something out about Ken. He already had a very stoic personality, and was very much an introvert. He also spent a lot of his time growing up thinking Kirara liked his older brother while he was in love with him, so he thought he had to hide it. The thing is, even though they started dating doesn't necessarily mean he's going to automatically change his personality like that. Just like the translator said. He's still gonna be rather rude and be a total a**. But the important thing is that he is slowly changing, he's opening up to Kirara and being a bit more honest. If he wasnt then we'd have a problem, but even though it's slow, he's changing, he's getting better. Itll just take some time. And I think Kirara doesn't really tell him off that much because he already knows how Ken is, and can tell he's getting better. He does obviously yell at him when Ken does something wrong or pisses him off, but I think he knows not to go into full hardcore when he can see Ken is trying is hardest, even if it doesn't seem like it. That and that's just not Kirara, even with Oomaeda, he never actually gave him any "backbone", he definitely yelled and was angry/disgusted, but he never actually put him in his place. So I think the author was just trying to make it realistic and show that people don't usually go through extreme personality changes just like that, whether or not they final get what they want. But I suppose most of this is just me speculating and some evidence from the translator, so it's not like you have to take it to heart or anything.

I get where you're coming from but I didn't get any awereness from the text. Nobody ever judged Ken on the way he acts and it was never a problem for him. It just feels like everyone gave him a pass.
And yes I know he can't change immidiatly, but it honestly feels like he never really worked to do anything (personality wise). From point of view I can understand, yes, he thought Kirara loved his brother, but through years of acting like a total cunt... there was no punishment or learning. The person he liked like him back (from some reason I can't understand) and the big problem was just his own point of view. If Ken's actions are important as they should be, than Kirara should have thought Ken hated him, somebody brought up his bullshit, etc. There should have been complicatins. But there never are. Cause Ken is Ken.
Honestly, how can he be a better person if everybody enable him? Espicially his lover. Kinda hopeless there.

You do make a very fair point, but I dont think it was exactly that people didn't judge him or just gave him a pass. People were afraid of him, they were scared of what be might do to them, and the people who weren't either did the same stuff he does (his brother) or didnt see this mean side of him (Kirara's mother), and Kirara was wearing the rose colored glass, he saw Ken as cool and held a very strong infatuation. He wanted to become like Ken, strong, he idolizes him and doesn't necessarily thing what he does is exactly wrong. But, I am hoping that they show a strong character development with him. Hopefully he does get way better, and someone finally calls him out on it. Because you are certainly right, Ken is rather irritating, and seriously needs to learn his lesson. But I do think that the author will hopefully get more into that as the story progresses.

Bless you. I’m really like Kiara so I’ve kept on with this plot but I literally can’t stand Ken. I find most tsundere types 1D and Ken is the epitome. He’s seriously would be unlikable in reality but he’s fawned on because it’s a teenage boy who’s stuck being emotionally stunted and that’s apparently attractive to read.
I actually love Kirara but I can't stand Ken, I can't believe he's treating hinata this way after they are already dating. And I kinda wish Kirara had more if a backbone to tell him off in any point. Characters that are only tsunderes are really dissapointing, it can be used wisely but here this all what Ken is.
