I don't understand why she needs the queen on her side.
I mean, her end goal is revenge but I just don't see how she's getting closer to it. Nor do I understand why she really needs the Solia position at this point. Everybody knows that she's an unleasher now and she has good connections. Her cousin already lost and Howard is already a loser.
Why not just bow out of the Solia, reject Howard's engagement, tell on her uncle, and get with the duke?
Because in order to make people pay you need power. In order for the authority to do something when she tells on her father she needs to be the authority or at least have connections stronger than her father. And she can have more influence is she is solia

BUt she already has ore authority than her uncle. He's a viscount and she's a marquis. And she has a duke and a wizard baking her up.
