And in order to do that he wanted to keep his true identity a secret
It was due to the weird rumors surrounding him in his home country. The school may try to prevent discrimination but the students will naturally categorize each other and he didnt want to have everyone thinking that he was God's envoy or a savior like in his home country. He just wanted to experience a normal school life with no attachments

If everyone is equal at this school and class doesn't matter what was the point of him entering as a normal student and hiding his royal status?
