I totally feel the same way; I had a dog since I was 12 and she passed away a few years ago and it's been a huge adjustment living without dogs in my life. And I can't help thinking right now how great it would be to have a dog to cuddle and be able to play with, especially during the quarantine. People keep telling me to "temporarily" foster a dog, but I'm currently not in a financial place to have a pet right now. So currently I just live vicariously through other people's pets online haha.
Also I really love the image of someone hugging a tortoise and their awkward tortoise faces being like "nooooooooo" as they try to retreat into their shell lol

They've got two cats and now a semi-puppy like fox as well! I m so longing for a pet right now especially during this lockdown, one I can hug all day. I've two tortoises but I can't hug them n they do nothing. I want a fat cat or a big dog
