Im kinda late but I think the chief instructor is Nina's father coz Gilles said that he smelled like her and he had a photo of a female luga in his pocket watch
Yeah I was thinking that too. But towards the end he sorta just... disappeared ╮(￣▽￣)╭ so Nina never got the chance to get that closure.
That ending was super rushed. I could tell the artist really wanted to draw more, it seemed like they were building up some other story lines (like with the chief instructor being in love with a luga). Shame. I still liked this though.
