to be honest yes(⊙…⊙ ) a rapist usually doesnt give a shit about the one he rapes right????and the situation here agravated but i truly hate it when the author makes someone rape and then shows a cute scene because it is very confusing, and why is Ed ok with selling himself to strangers but not to Chang?even so it was very awful to see what happened it was rape but Chang seemed like he was really at a breaking point very desperate he didnt seem like a rapist he seemed like he lost it maybe jealous because he had seen the videos ........

Consent isn’t something that is set in stone. You can consent to sex, but then change your mind. That is what Ed did. He consented at first, then changed his mind and explicitly stated that he wanted to stop, he did not enjoy the experience, and even tried fight him off. No matter how cute Chang is, or what Ed did to provoke him, in the end it IS in fact rape bc Ed said told Chang to stop multiple times. Perhaps our definitions of consent differs, but that is my take on it.

Ed isn’t okay with selling himself to Chang bc he has a rough history with Chang, and hates him for putting him in thousands of dollars in debt. If you put yourself in Ed’s shoes, would you rather sell yourself with a complete stranger or sleep with Someone you have beef with. I feel like there are a lot more feelings of shame and guilt about being a prostitute if you sell yourself to someone you have a rough history with.
Also, I would agree w u that it is confusing when the author try’s to make us sympathize w Chang, but even if he doesn’t seem to look like a rapist (he’s v cute I’ll admit), he did still rape Ed w/o his consent. Jealousy and unrequited love are probably the motivation behind his assault, but it still doesn’t make it okay.
That motherfucker literally DISLOCATED his arm when he was raping him. Fuck you Chang and your so called “love” - your just a self serving ass hat and the faster the author drops this character, the better. Seeing his face SICKENS me.
