Humans are weak. We never know the feeling of being tied as a kin. At some point, they'll crumble. Love is unpredictable anyways. Also, think about how someone believe of fairytales as a kid and how they come to believe that they aren't real when they grow up. I mean 'to see is to believe'. It's different on everyone's point of view. That's why I can see your point. And humans aren't stupid enough to risk their life for something pointless. You remember how Ellian and his son annihilate an entire clan or household single-handedly? That's the gap on their strength.
Refering to chapter 104. If Vampire really exists, with the intention to love human, do you think human will love you back? Some of us maybe yes, but for a lot of human, vampires are nothing but a monster, threat, etc. And probably our governments will be busy catching and killing vampires for other experiment, use them, etc. Human are mixture of evil and good.
So deep from me but this is what i was thinking when reading this chapter.
