I may drop this as i really like strong female leads not making dumb decisions after reincarnation even if its all clique and overdramatic.
Its like the reincarnation was wasted on them.

It's technically still ongoing but uhh, the story ends at Chapter 987. After that, there's Chu Chen's backstory. Then, there's Pei Ziheng and Xia Ling's backstory, as in it tells how they met during her first life and it's still ongoing.
I read the whole novel and I'm going to spoil it so if you don't want spoilers, just ignore it. I'm so mad at this girl for the majority of the novel, like swear to god. There's so many misunderstandings that could've been avoided if she just talked to Li Lei or anyone for that matter. She's naive, immature, spoiled rotten, and always needs someone to save her. Her one redeeming quality is her singing ability. Aside from that, she can't do anything.
You'd think after YEARS, she'd quit falling for petty schemes and traps but then she ends up getting captured by Li Lei's brother, who's a super psycho with a bro-con. It pains me to say she's such a damsel in distress and both Li Lei and Pei Ziheng never give up on her. She could eat shit and they'd praise her and dote on her.
Her "sister", Xia Yu, is also a piece of work. She's an ungrateful wretch who always took stuff from Xia Ling and made her undergo painful experiences because of her own selfishness. Su Tang's a conniving rat who doesn't want to give up on Li Lei even until the end. She only ends up repenting when Xia Ling sends her to international prison that harbors all types of felons.
Pei Ziheng doesn't have a good ending either, he ends up with cancer and Xia Ling can't bring herself to hate him at the end. That makes me so mad because he literally raped, tortured, abused her PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY but because she reminisces all the "good" memories they had, she doesn't hold it against him.
The only people y'all really fuck with is Feng Kun(god bless his soul, best character in this bitch) who tries to help her in her first life by telling her to control her temper and gives her advice, Xia Moyan(her brother) who also saves her on MANY occasions bc she can't do shit, Ah Wei (Feng Kun x Ah Wei btw) who brings some sense to her life bc she has no COMMON sense, her kid whose name i forgot, the cat and Er Mao. Aside from that, this was a roller coaster of teen angst, tragedy, comedy, and very little happiness. For every 30 grievances she suffers, there's only one scene of happiness or sum. The fate of the phoenix is TRAGIC.
